The Center of Investigation of Aquatic
Ecosystems of the Central American University (CIDEA-UCA),
it is only in Nicaragua, it constitutes a source
of technological information, aquacultural and
environmental, they are also carried out
specific analysis in quality of water,
pathological diagnoses and bromatological.
The CIDEA centers its work in carrying out
investigations, extension, technical attendance,
laboratory services and training. Also, it joins
efforts in the population's of the basin of the
Real Tideland informative and educational
processes to help to improve the methods and
technical of production, to increase the
efficiency environmentally with practical
friendly, and to improve the revenues, elevating
this way the level of people's life.
Through the investigation and the docencia, the
CIDEA offers formal support to the industry and
the superior education, it also projects
trainings and technical attendance to
cooperative and sectors of the production
acuícola in order to contribute with the
sustainable use of the natural resources of the
country.
The CIDEA wants to support to the small producer
(acuicultor) in the integral knowledge of
handling and technology use based on the Good
Practices of Handling, through technical
attendance, formal and informal training, as
well as to disclose knowledge on coastal
handling in the populations.
At the moment, the CIDEA has presence in four
municipalities of the country. Managua, where
she/he has the central offices, laboratory and a
documentation center; Port Morazán, place in
which has an experimental farm, training center,
documentation center and offices; in Mateare, in
which possesses an experimental farm, training
center and offices; and in San Carlos only bill
with offices.
